The Cease Canine Cancer 5k will be donating all proceeds to the National Canine Cancer Foundation.
Number Pick-up
Race day pick up starting at 8:30 am.
Day of registration
Day of registration will be available starting at 8:30 am and closing at 9:45 am. Cost $40 per person and $10 per dog. Pre-registration will end at noon on October 20 cost $30 per person and $8 per dog. CCC 5k pint glasses will be available for the first 100 pre-registered attendees. Any left over pint glasses will be given to runners on a first come first serve basis so, run fast!
Post Race Party
Prizes will be awarded to first three male and female finishers. Dog friendly prizes awarded to the first three dog finishers.
Parking
Parking will be available at Crate Escape of 30 Brighton St. Belmont MA behind the building off Hittinger St. Please park tight and close to one another to ensure space for everyone and consider car pooling.
Dog Attendees
All friendly, leashed and well behaved dogs are welcome. All dogs must be registered runners. Please see registration menu.
T-shirts
The first 100 preregistered attendees will receive a limited addition CCC 5K pint glass. Any left over glasses will be given out on a first come first serve basis.
Volunteers
Volunteers will receive a t-shirt and community service hours if needed. I am looking for 15 volunteers, all ages welcome. Please email me at nikki.crateescape@gmail.com or see the registration menu.
I know that running [volunteering for] a road race is potentially hazardous activity, which could cause injury or death. I will not enter and participate unless I am medically able and properly trained, and by my signature, I certify that I am medically able to perform this event, and am in good health, and I am properly trained. I agree to abide by any decision of a race official relative to any aspect of my participation in this event, including the right of any official to deny or suspend my participation for any reason whatsoever. I attest that I have read the rules of the race and agree to abide by them. I assume all risks associated with running in this event, including but no limited to: falls, contact with other participants, the effects of the weather, including high heat and/or humidity, traffic and the conditions of the road, dog injuries to dogs or by dogs, all such risks being known and appreciated by me. I understand that bicycles, skateboards, baby joggers, roller skates or roller blades, and personal music players are not allowed in the race and I will abide by all race rules. Having read this waiver and knowing these facts and inconsideration of your accepting my entry, I, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release the 2nd Annual CCC 5K, the city of Belmont MA, and Woof LLC, all event sponsors, their representatives and successors from all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in this event, even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons named in this waiver. I grant permission to all of the foregoing to use my photographs, motion pictures, recordings or any other record of this event for any legitimate purpose. I understand that this event does not provide for refunds in the event of a cancellation, and by signing this waiver, I consent that I am not entitled to a refund if the event is cancelled before or during the event.
